Autumn is my favourite time of the year. If you are planning a wedding for then, why not take some inspiration from this colourful season?
Some of the most commonly used colours for autumn weddings include rich reds, burnt oranges, golds and browns. Early autumn colours tend to be quite vibrant and would lend themselves well to all those colourful Asian weddings. The later into autumn it gets the more rich and warm the accent colours become, but at the end of the day it is your wedding so if you want to have hot pink then so be it!
Cakes & Dresses
Popular wedding cake flavours include chocolate and orange, which would look great decorated with edible autumnal coloured leaves. Think ivory wedding gown and shades of chocolate brown, burnt orange and gold for your bridesmaids.
Hydrangeas, freesias and dahlias are some of the popular flower choices for autumn weddings, they would look fabulous as part of your bouquet. In terms of venue decor, think autumn foliage. Table centrepieces such as arrangements of oak branches and berries would be fitting and wedding favours including scented autumn colour candles or mini toffee apples wrapped with an organza bow would fit in perfectly.
What I love most about autumn is some of the wonderful photographic opportunities that it can bring.
